I vote No, cause...I don't like rules where u need a decoder ring to know what to do, I always prefer to KISS whenever possible!
I propose: ANY Contract for $15M or more, requires 2 yrs or longer; ANY contract $25M or more, requires 3 yrs or longer...that's only requirements!!
That keeps 1 yr contracts (under $15M) in play n prevents teams from just grabbing high priced FA's 4 1 yr n just flip them. Now to acquire a Trout or Kershaw, u r gonna have them 4 at least 3 yrs (not a bad thing) n may not b so willing to just flip them.
Like LA I plan on staying either way, but would like a simple change made to keep the competitive balance in place!!!

Guys, I feel like Im turning into the league jerk tonight with lecturing posts. But if we're going to do posts/w votes, can we keep new proposals and commentary out of an active voting post? That's not to say I dont like NYY's idea, but if I vote "yes" in this post, I dont want it being confused that Im voting for NYY's idea and not Minnys.
I suggest a separate post for additional ideas and commentary.

See the no votes. Then there should be no complaining when people do trades. Spend 30 mil in free agency to get multiple cheap yrs of bogaerts, couple good prospects, and a first round pick will jump start a rebuild better than anything I know.
