THe rule would be the same for everyone. Don't treat RP/SP/Both any differently.
THe problem as I saw it was that for batters, 150 at bats is about 6 weeks of work. For starting pitcher, 50 ip is about 6 weeks of work. For a relief pitcher, it's a season of work. But I didn't mean to imply we'd have to track who is a RP and who is a SP.

Let's use Julio Urias as an example. Real LA wants to long relief him moving forward. Say he weren't signed by Cashman LA, there is the potential to game the system if he were to get the RP designation from Yahoo, and could be signed as a FA under a false eligibility designation. If we were to move forward with an eligibility rule change, we would need to address this. Urias is a poor example as he has 48 IPs and is almost there for player promotions.

Then we just bid on him like a foreign player that got to 50 ip. I don't see the problem except ppl think they can't or don't want to keep an eye on appearances
Small, amendments to an established rule just gets complicated. This league is already complicated enough, don't bog it down by making little rules like this. Little rules like this, IMO, are "technicalities". Oh, he has 47.1 IP, but "technically" he has 30 appearances. It's too much...
I'm not trying to be difficult, but I don't spend all day looking at stats like "appearances". IP is easy enough to track in fantasy baseball. This gives everyone the same opportunity to bid on someone eligible for a contract.
Your hearts are in the right place, and I like that people are passionate about making this league better than it already is. But, we've had a lot of changes this year. The league is awesome and I'm not trying to discourage people from voicing up and making suggestions, so please don't stop with this kind of stuff. Just don't over complicate things. This part of the league works!
