This is to inform you that we are going to have ip limits again this year. It will be dropped to 1250ip that EVERYONE has to reach. This post is to inform you so you can update your auction strategy about acquiring pitching help. Penalties, extra dl spots, etc will be announced shortly.

we are not considering offsite dl spots right now, too many problems with that. we're keeping 1450 but you need to hit 1250. the penalties for noncompliance are: 1st offense: 10K for every inning under 1250. ex:10K X 100 = 1mil 2nd offense: 20K.......................... 3rd offense: banned from the league
obviously pitching is a large part of baseball. lets play it. everyone will have 5 dl spots and 3 waiver positions to use during the year. 1250 is very doable w/o screwing up your roster. we all start with no strikes against anybody
please add to charter

So, just to be clear. Are we enforcing penalties on IP limits at under 1250 IP? Yahoo is showing 1458 as the magic number, I'm projected to be at 1342 IP. I maintain my lineup, just not sure how strict these limits are enforced.
The reason for the above rule is that teams were not keeping up an active roster and starting their good pitchers, or would trade all of their starting pitching in any given season in hopes that it might help them finish closer to the bottom of the standings as to achieve a higher draft pick in the MiLB draft we hold in January/February. This can drastically alter the points allocation in the standings and impact the "end of the season PUSH" and ultimately alter the standings at seasons end.
Its much like a head to head league. If there were no minimum innings pitched requirements, teams would ride RP all week...
If this is in our charter, then we will hold every team to the standard. If the majority of the league is against it, then we can always change or alter it. Even though we have different opinions in this league, everyone is great about hearing someone else's thoughts and opinions. The league has not stopped evolving since I have been a member...
Is the magic number the 1250 or the 1458 displayed on Yahoo? I have enough pitching, but right now I'm projected to finish at 1342 IP. I'm just confused as to what the IP limit is and if it was enforced. When I took over the team I was around behind IP projections based on the Yahoo number of 1458. Just want clarification so I can adjust my pitching if I need to try to catch up to that number
I think you can go over the limit on the last day of the season, if you are currently under the limit & have a bunch of starters going on the last day of the season.

You'd have to ask Pitts 2 b sure, but they probably rounded down to 1450. Personally, I'd like it to b consistent w the other Maximums, so 1458 would b my vote!
