Bottom two teams in each division go head to head like world series with the winner actually getting the first overall pick then standings backwards like normal. You have to win even if you are a loser/tanker/rebuilder
As long as the last place team doesn't obviously tank the season, then that team should be able to earn the 1st picks. For example, not playing their best players (Trout, Kershaw, etc), in place of bench warmer.

Just thinking of a way to remove the temptation. Today chi is playing wieters at dh (1047 ovr in last 30 days) with Carlos Gonzalez (16 ovr in last 30) on the bench, so do you think we should penalize him? No rule on who you play as long as you fill the lineup but looks fishy.
fwiw, i set the lineup a couple days in advance. if i have the time i go in and change it plus i had been having computer problems. those have been eased a bit.
so commish minny, u have my permission to go into yahoo and change my lineup whenever you think it should be changed. if you like cargo so much then make me an offer for this 1st half bum.

I wasn't accusing just using it as example to illustrate how SD idea is difficult/impossible to enforce in real life.
Fwiw You could totally say you like the matchup BTW weiters and whatever pitcher so you started him over car go. Lineup daily moves are up to you. No accusation meant just looked at your team cuz was on bottom.
Anyway just throwing the idea out there otherwise I'll go about my business cuz I don't ever intend to finish last and don't believe tanking gets you to the promised Land in this league.

Oh, what is this goodness I see here? Hug it out you two.
I'm torn to be honest. I know where Minn is coming from. Minor League drafting is one ingredient to winning, and a team can win w/o having any semblance of a minors I think.
So why not having a snaking order that is rewarding the top teams on down?
But, I could also foresee someone having an easier road towards a dynasty as well. There could possibly be more defined have and have nots, and less parity under Minn's proposal.
I've always been a free market guy. I like the idea of a system that rewards excellence.
And we currently do not have anything that rewards the top teams on down. So, why not? I'm fine either way though.
