Again, I don't know if you are being willfully dense. I am not advocating the suppression of an opinion. I am advocating the players in this league act professionally and post commentary in the chat section. I'm not sure why you are confusing my point with somehow suppressing one's opinion. I can take critique and commentary. Again, it is not good form to post such things where League business is conducted. I wholly anticipated this trade would get critique, commentary, ridicule. Again, I am not afraid to make trades where Detroit has issues with them. As for future rules pertaining to money transactions, good luck with that.
Oh yeah, you wouldn't be crying if my comments were put in its own thread IN THE CHAT SECTION!
Get over it. I'll give you a towel so you can wipe your dripping pu$$y. Oh wait, I should have posted that in its own thread in a different section. Or maybe I can just post it where it makes the most sense.
Whatever bro. I'm not confused. Back peddle a different direction.

Alot has been made about LA and this whirlwind of money he has received.
Have you bothered to take a look at his team other than what you read in the Completed Trades board?
He has a $13 million dollar budget next year. Hardly anything to work with. He has 15 players he is losing next year to free agency with that $13 million budget. He lost a kid to arm surgery, prolly for two years that he was counting on to be his cheap Kershaw for 5 years. His MiLBs I would rank middle of the league-good. And his future draft considerations have been all but depleted. Kershaw, he lost, what 10-12 starts? How many is Straas going to miss? This is all a GAMBLE, Detroit.
Simply put, the man is GOING FOR IT. He wants to win this year. You are so threatened by this fact, yet you hold a 4.5 pt advantage over him. This, despite my 'destroying this league by giving him money'. As though I just 'give' him money.
KC today got 10 million for next year. Cash I won't miss. Am I destroying this league? Before the trade, his budget for next year was $57 million/w 10 players becoming FAs from his squad. He has a bunch of money tied up in one player, Byron Buxton, that I'm sure he wishes he could take back. I approached him last night with a simple proposition for a player that was un-tradable. I talked turkey, because I wanted that player. I do not have a potential 2nd basemen in my system, especially one who can hit 15-20 HRs and only strikeout 60 times doing it. I was willing to pay the price it would take to make KC part with him. The trade was asymmetrical. I believe he helped himself immensely, and I got a player who potentially fills a 2nd base need for years to come. I'm not going to miss Dickerson, Moniak, the future 3rd round MiLB, and the money. But it helped him. It got him to come to the table and say "yes".
It is not good form for me to reveal our personal discussions. But you and I have discussed Dickerson. We both postured. But I think I got your read on him as a player. So don't pretend now that I traded away Babe Ruth with 3 yrs remaining on the cheap. Don't. Don't pretend Moniak is anything more than Nick Markakis. Don't pretend the 3rd round MiLB was some huge cornerstone from my future picks, when I'm sitting on a damn plethora of 1st round picks from both my entry and milb future drafts. And the money? Just get off it.

When you posted your commentary in the Trades Completed section. The trade had not been consummated. What was stopping KC from backpedaling and rejecting the offer right there? He could have said to himself, 'I don't want this headache'.
That is bad form, Detroit. I am absolutely incensed that you would do that.

I personally think it is bad form to comment on a trade before both sides have agreed. We can't have ppl saying I would given way more then the deal doesn't happen.
I also think you both should just stop before you get to a bad place, hopefully it isn't too late. Making bad trades isn't illegal and neither is making good ones.
Your point of posting a comment before the trade was agreed upon by both parties...taken, noted and will not do that again. I see your point about that. Fully.
As for this entire thread, instigating a rule change and fine for posting comments in a trade thread, utterly ridiculous. If you have 2 separate points, well, I've said my piece on both and feel I'm clear on them.
Unless someone asks you to give your reasoning for a trade, there is no need to share intimate details that were private with someone else, unless asked. Chi once asked for reasoning behind a trade, but in my tenure is the only recallable instance. None of this changes my opinion about the trade. It's not gonna stop me from making stupid, idiotic comments in the future if I think something is ridiculous.
Like the big peathingy being pulled out in a locker room full of men, "look at me, look at me, I have all this cash, all these picks and all these prospects"....and a losing team! Good luck sir, and good day.

This right here.
Can we all agree to disagree sometimes without it coming down to neener-neeners?
We should be able to post our disagreement with others and voice opinions on league matters without taking it personally. I didn't see Detroit make a personal attack in his original post. (I think it's crossed the line since then. )
I suspect there might be some discussion forthcoming regarding the recent trades. I'll make sure it doesn't get personal as long as everyone agrees to not take anything personal.

To post opinion on a trade before it is consummated is bad form (but I won't prevent it) no matter what forum it is posted on, and we all agree you have a right to complain.
But I think we are all free to post commentary in whatever forum we want to.

I never disputed that, Pitts. But the level a pi$$ed, I couldnt quantify for you when I saw it before I got an agree from KC. All I could see at that point was what I had been working hard towards for 2 days put in jeopardy b/c of some guy's "opinion".
