Commentary be kept off of Trading Block and Completed Trades. We have a Chat board.
Any offense should be met with a fine.
I have a trade in the Completed Trade section that hasn't been replied yet by the other party, and already commentary on the board. Beyond the fact that it is just utterly annoying and pi$$ing me off now that I get a jeer crowd for my trades, and it just not a good thing to do in those actual areas where people DO THEIR BUSINESS.
Oh yeah, BTW, YOU are responsible for creating NEW rules on trades for trading away over 70M in salary (at least) this season. There is a salary cap for each team, and your ridiculous trades have upset the competitive balance to this league (IMO).
1 person is not a crowd...it's just ME speaking. I've made some bad trades as well, but I've never given away $ in this league like it were Halloween.

Well I love that this turned into a referendum on me.
I get chided when I make trades that seem to be utterly in my favor, and when you perceive I am being taken.
I make trades that are WITHIN the rules laid out by Cashman. I DO NOT make trades in the prism of how Detroit will feel about them or me. Sorry big guy.
As to setting what you feel are unfair advantages because of trades I make. That just sounds an awful lot like crying to me.
I'll tell you what I DONT DO: I don't make trades where I need to clearly be the superior winner in the trade. I believe trades can be something where both parties win, both guys get what they want.
AND I want people to feel like I'm someone they will want to trade with again in the future. Not someone who is perceived as the guy who 'got one over on me'.
Trades aren't about being the then and now winner in all eyes, rather filling two team's needs and cultivating a future trading relationship.
You keep making your trades Brew. The league will come to some sort of consensus on what needs to change, if any, and I will keep voicing my opinion when I want to. Unless strapped with a heavy fine, I will put my opinion where it is most appropriate.
I'm sorry you don't like it, nor share my opinion. But I don't like your trades (not all of them). That's my opinion.
I'm just not a fan of giving huge chunks of money away. A couple mil, ok. But you have given 50M away since the beginning of the year (maybe more, I've lost count). 10M doesn't change the face of the league. 50M does.

Have you seen my budgets the next 5 years? Am I hurting for cash?
You are, the next two years. LOL. Your opinion that I somehow mis-manage money borders on the ridiculous.
As for me being the reason a rule has been created. Correct me if I am wrong: Wasn't that rule created to inhibit the crazy 35 million 1 yr deals? That was happening before I came into this league, big guy.
Again, I am not advocating the suppression of opinions. It is bad form to be doing it in areas where league business is performed.
Unless of course you think the trade should be vetoe'd. Then by all means, I think that is appropriate for a Completed Trades forum posting.
I don't think the trade needs to be vetoed. I do think the league needs to look at cash transactions as a part of trades (this is what is being changed...not being able to trade a player to another team and pay his entire salary...it disables Clayton Kershaw from being traded in Match unless another team can afford to take on their salary). As far as I know there is no change to the FA bidding structure that you eluded to...I could be wrong.
But, when you read into this rule change I mentioned above, this includes lump cash. So by all means, trade away the salary you have now. I'm not so sure you'll be able to do it forever.
I'm just not a fan of this. LA was given the ability to "load up" his team this year, not by managing his money and team wisely over the years (no offense LA), but he was afforded the opportunity to load up on FAs cause he acquired 32M in salary relief from you alone in 2 transactions involving minor league players. If you can't see the logic I'm trying to spit then I'M talking to a wall...
And, once again, if you got the player you wanted, then even though you sold 1/9 of your house, you got a good deal!
