All this wheeling and dealing in the 1st month of the season. I don't remember a time like this. I see Pitt, Det, and Chi selling. I am still in shock Pitt has thrown in the towel, or really has he ( he has some plan we dont see). Yanks, and others buying. I see the West being the strongest it has ever been.
I see Philly, LA, and SD waiting for their players to get hot. Minny is hanging in there.
Anyway around it, there is new blood on top early on.
Question is, do I wait for Wainwright, Fernandez, , Boxberger, and Severino to right the ships and capitalize on my young pitchers pitching great. Or, do I trade a prospect not named Giolito(will not be promoted to mlb this year) or Bell for a SP(as they are my only untouchables), for now.
I am curious on the opinions and possible trade offers for starting pitching, or other

In fairness, I was still making that my team. But yes, you make your point painfully.
My trade with Philly was a stroke of brilliance I stand by it. I look back on the money I gave. No impact.
I will laugh at all of your tears when you all trip over each other to get Rafael Devers and Lewis Brinson from me. I will laugh, and then I will go make dinner and watch some television.
But if the point is that Detroit took a page from me, then what can I say. I'm flattered.

Fun with math (apologies if I seem cruel):
Clayton Kershaw averages 31.5 starts per year
You are paying $25,600,000 for a single year of whole wheat goodness.
Kershaw's last start was 7 innings, 5 earned runs, a loss
You spent $812,698 dollars for stale bread the other night.
In this era of MRIs and Tommy John surgery, I would contest the bigger lunacy is putting any pitcher, no matter how regal they are, into a contract north of $20 million.
