Trading a potential 20+ HR SS for a (in a good year) #2, #3 SP? That's not even mentioning Blair in this deal.

I am arguing with someone on facebook this whole day about why you don't do dumb trades. It makes for bad teams. Pretty 101-type stuff.

really makes you wonder. how could dave stewart NOT know what the market value of those 2 prospects were? inciarte is almost as valujable as miller himself. then to throw in a #1 overall pick? and a top 100 prospect as a throw in? even if you KNOW that those guys will bust and miller will be a stud, you also have to know that you could get miller for less or could get more for those guys from other owners.

the lost opportunity costs are what bothers me. even if miller outperforms the 3 guys they gave up, its STILL a bad trade because you didnt get market value for them.
