current rule states that to draft a player he must be in ba's db. we feel this needs to change as there are many international free agents who have signed major league contracts who are not on the db and may not be listed at the time of our draft. (no winter ball.) so, we'd like to change the rule so you can draft an ifa if you can prove he has signed a ml contract. of course if a player signs after we start the draft he in ineligible.
it might look suspicious to some of you that we want to change the rule after i, chic, traded for the 6th overall selection coming up. i give you my word that with that pick i will not select an ifa...wasnt going to anyway but there it is.

What we'll do is open a thread for folks to nominate a signed player not in the Baseball America database as eligible for the draft. If he is in the database already, then no need to nominate. If he is not signed, then he is not eligible anyway. This way, the list of eligible players is as public as can be. No sneaking anyone through under the radar.
