1) whats the point for the trade deadline? it just makes the next 2 weeks BORING as we play 'philly-ball'. then we waste a week re-opening trading when we could get to FA faster. 2) whats the reasoning for not being able to drop minor leaguers during the year? i say we should be able to drop them at any time.
what's the hurry to get to free agent bidding? So we can finish in January. Then what?
why was the rule created to cut minor leaguers in January. I don't see it being a big deal to cut minor leaguers throughout the season. Benefits?
Philly ball? Not sure. Keep trading prospects and future picks for what? To not win? I traded enough good prospects to make a solid run. If your watching, my team fell when Hanley got hurt/was unproductive/ then went on the DL for pretty much the remainder of the year. So, should I have traded Jorge Soler for a prospect to finish where?
basically just 2 weeks of doing nothing. doesnt need to be this way. many trades need to be adjusted by sending 'years' to the other team(who really dont want the players) who then will eventually cut them anyway.
I would prefer to have a trade deadline. My actual preference would be for it to be further out than two weeks, but from the initial responses I can tell it's not going that direction. I think it helps avoid someone building a lead in One cat and then loading up on others for the last push. That can certainly be considered good strategy, but I think it's a better league without the extreme shifts. I also prefer only being able to cut one time a year. It adds a bit of strategy that I like. I would be more open to not limiting the amount of players that can be cut at that date thou. No arguments from me if both changes happen thou. I really don't think either one will make that much of a difference.

yeah the trade deadline this close to season end is kind of strange. MLB does theirs I think in August?
I don't mind either way. Kind of like seeing the top teams trade away their draft picks, when they're already positioned well. So I dont care on trade deadline I guess is what Im saying.
If I had a vote, cut Milbs whenever. Lemme have that freedom. No restrictions on MLB clubs doing that in real life. Why are we?

So cutting minors during milb would be allowed? Would cut minors then be instantly eligible for other in milb? I could cut someone while on the clock and draft right away again to add yrs?
