Why are there caps on IPs and batting on the Yahoo? I'm trying to wrap my head around them too. Truth be told also, this is my first year in roto in probably 15 years. I've had to get kind of reacquainted with cumulative goals as opposed to the H2H I been fixated on for that span of time.

Because if not, then you could just pile on innings or at bats to win the counting stats. As is, there is an extra level of strategy that makes you ration your innings/games.

Yeah, I guess my real question is why the cap, what is the thought behind it? They don't even seem achievable if my math is correct, so why even bother capping? Or is that just something that automatically comes with the roto format? If I overloaded on SPs in RP slots I could max that IP limit. I am curiously +1 over on a few position players games played.
Yup I made the mistake and now trying to idle my innings while not violating rules. It's been a very tricky 2nd half for me but I am getting closer to the cap target.
