For whatever reason, the word "waiver" in this league means something completely different than it means anywhere else.
Each team gets 3 waiver spots to use each year. Here are the rules:
1. any player on your major league roster can be placed in a waiver position. this removes him from your active yahoo roster while allowing you to maintain the rights for the player. 2. once you move a player into a waiver spot, he is in that spot for the entire year (even if you cut or trade the player. you never get that spot back for the rest of the year.) 3. you still have to pay the player's salary. (if you cut him, the regular rules for cut salary still apply.) 4. players that you have on your waivers can be moved on and off your yahoo active roster at any time (though, please don't abuse this for streaming starting pitchers. the commish will get very cranky.) moving them back to your active roster does not open the waiver spot. that player still occupies the waiver. but you are free to put him in your lineup. if you want to move him back off the yahoo roster, just post that you want to move him back to the waiver.
