had the #5 pick in a 20 team dynasty draft (300 minor league players owned). draft rules somewhat similar to ours except all first year players eligible (included cuban for example.)
first 4 went like this:
yoan moncada
rusney castillo
alex jackson
carlos rodon
i had moncada and castillo 1 and 1a on my board. they were gone. i had yasmany tomas, rodon, and kyle schwarber in virtual dead heat for next spot. the team behind me had the #6 AND #7 pick (and #11!). i knew he desperately wanted tomas. i tried to trade down for 2 of his picks making him think id take tomas. in the end i ended up just taking schwarber.
should i have taken tomas?
