Not really that complicated, but too late in the process to be implemented this year as most rosters are pretty much set. I would be in favor of making this change at the end of the 2015 season.
i wouldnt be opposed to it but after a real quick look at some teams, balt and boston, boston OF:A.Jackson cf OF:D.Jennings cf OF:B.Hamilton cf UT:Wil Myers rf bost would be FORCED to make a trade, probably unfavorable(if trade with pitts) to be compliant. maybe make this league change in 2 years so everyone has enough time to not get screwed in a trade
remember we slowly amped up the tot inn pitched to 1400 over 2-3 seasons

I propose we enact this retroactively for 2014. I will now go back and re-score the season.
Semi-seriously now....if everyone wants to do it, we'd have to: -schedule the change for at least 2 seasons into the future (so, 2017 if we decide right now). -have some kind of phase in. maybe the first year only have CF/Corner OF. Then the 2nd year go full bore cf/lf/rf. -provide some kind of cap relief if you have to cut an outfielder (would be really unfair if someone had spent tons of money on say, 3 CF or 3 LF and they were forced to dump a guy to balance their outfield)
it would affect boston and toronto...right now. minn, kc, la, and phil have an abundance of of's and 'could' demand an unreasonable trade for one of them. not sure i'm on board with this

I dont think you lose competitiveness. You make it a little more difficult to build all star teams that keep people from going for it like last year. I think by the all star break people werent willing to sacrifice this yr to go for it last yr.
