First off, Minny is really making a push for the best all time point total. Not rooting for you, Minny! Sorry! Hoping Kershaw breaks a leg here. Almost unbelievably, Minny has swept the pitching categories except for a second place finish in holds. Who is leading holds? The Pirates. Which leads me into my next point...

Second, the rest of you should really be ashamed. I have a decent chance at finishing in 4th place and an outside chance of finishing 3rd. Not sure if you've noticed, but I've got $22m on my active roster now. The rest of you can't beat a team worth $22m?

Third, and really the whole reason for this post was to remind you that the trade deadline is coming up on Sunday, Sept 14. So get those deals done folks.

It's rather remarkable that the 'dead-est' time of the year in Cashman is the last 2 weeks of the regular season! There's more chatter around here in January! Everyone focusing on their football teams or getting back to school or something?

Focusing on Football teams and focusing on trying to tank the season for higher draft slot in a somewhat respectable manner.....and yet there are still 3 teams worse than me. I suppose there is a skill to tanking a season while still fielding a legal roster
