I stayed away from Fernandez in all of my leagues this year for this very reason. Seems like these phenoms all break down in year 2 or 3. The young arm is not made to throw a 92 mph slider.
This hurts, but it is only the 1st year of 5 for him. Still a better pitcher than I could possibly expect from a 5th round pick. He will come back and be strong.
I really think we should add a category for tommy john surgeries, I have the most TJ surgeries since I joined this league, was wondering who it would be for me on my mlb roster this year, now I know.
