ok say I want Tanaka really bad, like $30 million bad. I'm willing to cut Votto, Cano, and Kershaw to get this guy! I know you can do contingent bids to make room on roster spots, but can you do the same for bids with contingent cuts for $? Can I go Tanaka $30 mil for 5 yrs and if I win cut Votto, Kershaw, Cano, and Babe Ruth to make cap room?

You must have the money to bid on players in the FA auction, but what about the blind bid?

i have no problems doing that as long as you recover enough cash to purchase tanaka.
ex:
i bid xxx for xxx yrs for tanaka
if i win i will have to drop joey and robinson to create cap space.
make sure chicago then wins my dropped players

yes. just send your bid like this:

bid Pitcher A 4 yrs / $30m
if won, cut player x, y, and z.


you do any kind of contingency you want.

for example:
I bid on 1 of the following, in order:
Pitcher A - 3/400k
Pitcher B - 3/350k
Pitcher C - 1/500k

If I win one, cut Pitcher D

you cant bid/win a player on the same day he attains 150/50 status
if he gets 50ip on a wed/sun afternoon you cant bid on him that evening
we do this so that everyone gets a chance at him and also that his stats are confirmed by mlb/yahoo. uv all seen stat adjustments on the league homepage. so we just wait a day.
