i still dont approve of a deadline but if we must how about the last 2 weeks the league approves/disapproves of a trade by vote. and i mean EVERYBODY votes or a penalty is sustained by those who dont get involved.
so for the last 2 weeks of the season we sit there doing nothing but massaging our collective asses with our fingers. instead of trying to improve with trades. ur hurting the teams that need it most. trading is suspended almost immed after the season due to the fa auction thats upcoming and endofseason rosters.
Yes, all transactions are suspended after the season to finalize season ending rosters and I think this is for one week. I think trades and only trades should be allowed during this week.
The trade deadline should be for at least 2 weeks, no exceptions for injuries. You can still pick up free agents.
Is it really broken being the league is 5 years old? Not sure but last years race was pretty close, almost to the last day.

I have taken advantage of the lack of trade deadline in the past, but would be agreeable to a two week trade deadline. This would only be a trade deadline. I still think we should be able to drop players and pick up FAs. Someone should not have an injury cost them a championship in the final two weeks because they do not have someone to replace him.

how about a soft deadline....
2 proposals... 1. with 2 weeks left in the season, you can only trade with the team that are within 10 points of you in the standings. 2. with 2 weeks left in the season, you cannot trade money
I don't like the idea of trades only if the other team is within 10 pts of the other team.
I do like the 2 weeks from the end of the year. But minor leaguers who are not mlb eligible and draft picks should be an exception. As long as that minor leaguer is not close to mlb elibillity, there is no harm. Trading money for draft picks or minorleaguers should be an exception also.
Otherwise, just keep going along with how the league has been without a trade deadline.
I agree with San Diego. If you are only trading with teams that are within 10 points of you, then who am I gonna trade with? That's right, nobody. Either eliminate trades completely or keep them active.
KISS. Too many exceptions, too complicated...
Set a date, no trades after that date until the season ends. I would agree that everyone can deal with not trading for a few weeks, whether it be players, money or minor leaguers.
I commish 2 leagues myself, 1 league for many years. Nothing as complicated as this one, but the trade deadline is set, and once it passes....of f'ing well!
caving in. if thats what you boys want then i can back a trade deadline of last 2 weeks. no trades of any sort for the final 2 weeks of the season. ARGHHHH
