I am in another yahoo league where we have keeper players. The commish was able to set them up and know they have a "k" next to their name so we can tell they were keepers.
Is there any value in setting up our minor league players with the K so that when you are looking at yahoo you can tell who is already on someone's team quickly? I know it is usually pretty easy to figure out if they are on someone else's team if they are in the minors, but then you also have the WW positions to deal with as well.
I am not even sure if it is possible but thought I would see.
To do that, they have to be designated as keepers during the league draft prior to the season. Also many of our minor league players are not in Yahoo's database, so it is impossible to designate them as keepers within the Yahoo system.

It's a good thought. THe problem isn't with guys on teams though. It's with waiver guys and minor league guys who arent on rosters and i don't think you can label free agents with the K. DOnt know for sure though. I can see.

You won't be able to make a change like that post draft, or in our case when you assigned the players to their respective teams and started the league.
Also it comes down to roster spots. 25 man roster, so active players only. I do believe at the start of the season you can alter the league team size by setting your bench to allow for increased players, in some cases I believe you can grandfather it to 40. But then these players would show up on our rosters and inadvertently would occassionally be activated by someone without notice on Proboards causing problems.
It may be possible to be done if another service hosted the league over Yahoo, but then we all have different numbers of minors , etc which could cause nightmares in keeping things straight.

I checked. The 'Keeper' thing doesn't work for us. Let me try to come up with something. Maybe I need to bite the bullet and go from google docs to microsoft office. might make the search sheet more dependable. Still, it would be nicer if the waiver/minors guys were searchable on yahoo.
