you cant bid/win a player who attains MLB status on a fa period day(wed/sun). i use a couple of sites to confirm such and they are not updated immediately. takes a day. to make sure there was no error in scores, box score, etc.
basically you cant win a player who attains mlb on the same day.

at the end of the actual season everyone gets 1 week to constuct their final end of season roster....before we go into free agency period. at that time you need to place any minor guys on your roster or lose them to fa.

{edit} on 10-3-10. this should have stated minors who attained major league status must be placed on your final roster or be lost to free agency.
i now can understand any confusion this may have caused.
