Toronto agrees to trade John Maine and prospect Kyle Drabek (SP-Philadelphia org.) to Chicago for Jose Valverde. Upon completion, Toronto immediately places Valverde on the DL. Chicago says he plans to immediately release Maine upon completion of the deal.
If Toronto needs to add Maine to his roster from WW2 prior to trading him, Toronto will release Jonathan Sanchez, SP-SF.
