was anybody else under the impression that once a minor leaguer hit 150 at bats or 50 ip, he was available to be bid on as a free agent if his owner hadnt yet signed him to a deal?
the commish says i am wrong and he would know! i just dont know where i got that impression.
Any UNDRAFTED prospect that reaches 150 MLB at bats can be bid on at that point, but if already drafted the prospect does not have to be promoted until 25-man rosters are finalized following that season.
