your original choice is on chicago's team and has been for several weeks. i'm assigning you laird to fill the 'empty' spot for the catcher position. it will be for the minimum $$$/years. its your option to keep him or bid for another catcher next fa period.

edit. laird was the highest ranked(not o-ranked) available catcher in the yahoo game.

he sent me a msg about it. Last year we had issues with a team leaving the C position vacant to tank for a better draft pick. We decided that a full lineup should be in play for every team

Please quit whining about every decision made by the commish. It is not his fault that you don't understand the rules or how this league functions. He has done a commendable job since founding this league and deserves your respect even when you disagree with him!

dont remember if you were with us last year when this issue surfaced. Basically the following was more or less agreed upon...
1) you field a full lineup of batters. no position left empty or with a DL on it for an extended time.
2) each manager has full control of his pitching staff. do what you want with it.

how long was it left empty for? last year when I did it I got someone within a week.
