There’s NO Crying in Baseball! As far as QO, it’s just the 2nd year of use, so I don’t see a reason to eliminate it atm. Modifying it is a possibility. Also, I’ll be addressing next season’s Entry Draft and MiLB years going forward. I think it’s been agreed that the Entry Draft will be 3 Rounds moving forward and MiLB years should be capped at 100 for 2025 n beyond. Would also like to discuss separate Min IP for RPs, should it really be the same as SP?
Other items can be brought up, but would like to finalize all changes by Cashman’s New Year!!

I'm in the same boat as Minny. I really don't mind the QO, but I'm not seeing much of a point to it either. Seems like it really only gets used as leverage during trade discussions.
Probably too early to fully drop it, but I think its something to keep an eye on how many owners actually use it this year and then discuss if it makes sense to keep it around or modify it to work better within the set up of the league.
Take it or leave it, I’m good either way. Agreed Philly, I like the idea of having an “option” year on a young player. I will be using my QO this year!

My suggestion is to keep QO but make the following changes… 1. Still limited to 1 per team, per year (not mandatory) and Must be done at New Year’s Roster. 2. Player Must be in last year of a multi-year contract (1 yr deals will NOT Qualify). 3. QO will be 11X last year’s salary, so on a standard Rookie 5-yr Deal, that would be $7,920,000.
This’ll give max flexibility n hopefully reduce some of the 1-yr contract offers. Let me know if this flies w the majority. Some of the other changes mentioned earlier are happening as described, but on this one, I’d like more buy-in, before also making it a rule for the upcoming year.
