Hey League,
I have to announce that this will be it for me in Doin' Cashman's Job.
I had spoken with the Commish about a year ago, expressing my desire to resign. I did give it a year to see if maybe I was going through a phase or lag. I even tried to go all-in and win this damn bad boy this year (ie Acuna trade for my left nut and 1st born).
Truth be told, my age coupled with worsening eye sight and a general disgust with Major League Baseball has taken its final toll on me.
I get to walk away with some fun memories. Some memories not so fun, hahaha.
As to a replacement for me: New York Yankees as always comes up clutch. He has a player in mind. Yanks: I know you asked me to get your new guy versed and up to speed. I'm pooped. Just have him or her create an account on the website. Have them call themselves Milwaukee Brewers. And all the information this person needs to get going, they can find it on the left side of the website (Viewing in PC mode not cell phone). I would have them start with my Youtube video:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCz_HQc9LdE
Also, they should read the league charter.
I would humbly ask this league to be patient with this new owner during the upcoming FAAB. Like this league had done for me many years ago, please offer your time and assistance.
Finally, as to Sheets maintenance for New Year turn overs and the Web Site admin duties that I hold. I will continue to hold onto them for the time being. In the coming weeks/months I will be transitioning the Admin responsibilities of the Website to The Detroit Tigers. As to the eventual admin'ing of the Team and Master Player Google sheets, it sounds like The New York Yankees will hopefully help me out with that next year with an eye towards eventual ownership of the task. I do wish to be able to walk away completely in a year or two from these responsibilities.
I will be around this year in the event something gets broken on the sheets. Ill troubleshoot it. The Website is nothin to it. It's Myspace, just an HTML jungle. That'll goto Tigers after we do some talkin.
If anyone has Excel or Google Sheets experience: This league needs your help. As it stands, Minnesota will be the only one doing the day-to-day sheets admin'ing. And ideally, there should be more than 1 person who is able to convert all pertinent sheets to a New Year as well as performing the daily stuffs on sheets.
Please!! If you have Secret Squirrel spreadsheet skills, now is the time to step up. This league has been wonderful to me. One of those reasons was that it was free of charge. But other people's time spent on maintenance is not free. And if there is one regret, I walk away feeling bad that I wasn't able to help Minny out more with the daily stuff. Okay that's enough from me on that. Hopefully didn't sound pointy headed and all lecturing, lol.
I guess that's it. I will rename myself 'ChrisMac777@aim.com' for now. That'll be my handle so you dont confuse me with the New and Real Brewers.
