I think it would have minimal effect on tanking. Getting the 4th pick is better than the 14th pick. Sorry NYY, but it's true. Now, taking away draft picks for failing to reach certain point levels, may have a bigger impact because it could effect a lot of teams.

I agree w u Jays, but at least it “stings” a little. Also I’m not sure teams r tanking as much as just not caring when they’re out of it.

11th place cpuld theoretically try to game his way away from being 10th place, but he still has to worry about falling to 12 place. I think you got a winner, buddy imo
