But honestly, at this current moment, free agency is over, and we’re not doing any other draft yet, why do people need to be active as consistently? This league is great that it’s year round, but it’s also OK for people to take a little time off and a breather here and there. I don’t understand why we need to do a health check on everyone every time someone is not on here for a few weeks. We already know he has no money to spend, and couldn’t really do much of anything. So he feels comfortable with his roster as he’s already told me I feel good with what I have and he’s ready to go. If he has any picks he’ll be available for the draft. I don’t know why he needs to be checked in with constantly for not being so I did when he literally was given a team that couldn’t do anything. He was given over a team in a crappy payroll situation, and basically handcuffed. What can he do? The original manger was went for broke and went for broke and bailed. This week is hard enough as it is, let alone the end of the team, with no payroll to spend and being stressed, forecast having any resources to do much of anything.

Imo it shows a lack of commitment n excuse making. If I was put in his situation, I’d b trying even harder to change some of the “circumstances”. Just being content to leave things as they r and b available to set a lineup, will not improve the competitiveness of this league. As far as I can recall, since day 1, he has barely been online, hasn’t returned PMs, did not make any roster changes, and did not participate in FA, other than 1 bid.
Personally, I have “chatted” w him one time and he seems very nice and polite and has said the same thing as Boston about wanting to stay “pat”. I just feel being new to a league, he should at least b responsive, is signing on at least once a week and answering PMs really too much to ask???
lmaoooo. You guys gotta stop. I told some of you in the messages I'll be active once the season starts. I made my trades and I am ready to enter the season and compete. Just because I am not answering your messages about trades doesn't mean I am not committed.
Here is a standard answer for everyone until opening day: THE CHICAGO WHITE SOX ARE CLOSED FOR BUSINESS.
As for the yankees crying about by "lack of commitment". I literally traded with you and I told you in the messages I was done for the off season. Worry about yourself.
I will see you all when the season starts. Idc how you do things. This is how I'm doing things.

Haha Salsa Verde Tostidos and 7/7's tonight while I kick back!! Long week fellas...different ways to be active though. To be respectful/commit to the league we should be online once a week to catch up w/ trade inquiries (wanted or not), private msgs or general league business. I don't think that's too much to ask at all.

I’ll leave it as is, no need for a witty retort one month later. Just tried to say minimal (once a week) communication was expected, didn’t feel that was out of line on my part.
I think what NYY and everyone else needs is just a response from you on communications within the league. If someone has offered you a trade, the polite thing to do is just respond. Even if the answer is simply, “no thanks.” I know that “most” trade offers are ridiculous. Some make me laugh too!
We do ALL league business in this forum (The Proboards). The format takes some getting used to. However, the expectation from the league is to “check in” from time to time, so that you don’t miss something that pertains to you. The league basically runs all year long, so It’s a good idea to check in once every 24-48 hours to “check your PMs” at a minimum.
Appearance is not always reality. I certainly understand that. I do appreciate you checking in.
