commish sent an email that asian and latin american players are elligible free agents.
does that mean that players like michael inoa are not elligible for the entry draft? doesnt seem feasible that the 16, 17, and 18 year old amateur latin american players would have to be kept on our major league rosters. just asking. ive already got a couple of these guys in my minor leagues.

maybe a solution would be they are free agents if you want them, but if they are not signed by the start of the minor league draft then they can be drafted like minor leaguers...
Another possible solution would be to set an age limit for international signees. At or above the age limit they would be free agents, and below the age limit they would be only eligible for the annual entry draft the first year and the minor league draft in subsequent years until taken.
What I meant is that some players from Japan were to sign with some clubs, along with the 3rd'baseman from the White Sox. They are "major league ready". Any 16+ year old isnt. Anyway, if you sign a 16yo and give him 5 years in the minors, he turns 21 and still not ready...you lose him. The 5 years are up. So, We have only 1 signing period for minors. The MiLB draft. Players drafted must be accounted for on the BA sight. That means you can search for him and find him. Nobody else. Imports. Lets make this simple. An import must acquire major league status, (150ab's/50ip) before you can acquire him thru silent free agency bidding. So those 16yo's go right to the minors but since we cant draft them but only once per year...

Aaron Crow was not signed by Wash and does not appear on BA, he should be returned to pool for 2009 entry draft, sucks for the team that drafted him, but...
