Never done this before, not sure how, but here It goes
Each manager is assigned one qualify offer, with two options to choose from, which will add some strategy in to what you want to do with your roster flexibility, But also leaving the stars We all want to bid on in free agency available for people which is the most exciting part of the free agency.
Each team will have 2 types of qualifying offers to choose from
1. Veteran deal QO- Qualifying offer could be extended for one year $5 million for players making $5 million or less In their final year $10 million for players making $10 million or less In their final year Nobody making over $10 million can be offered a qualifying offer
2. Rookie deal QO - A player coming off a rookie contract can be extended a one year qualifying offer to retain him at $5 million for 1 season. Which is a significant jump off of the $600 K he was making when his rookie deal ended.
The qualifying offer would be determined by each manager at the time final rosters are submitted.
A player can not be offered a qualifying offer by the same team more than once. If offered one, they become a free agent at years end no matter what.
On the sheets, QO will be listed next to the players indicating that they are on the qualifying. If traded, and a player is currently on the one year qualifying offer, the player will not be able to be offered the qualifying offer by the acquiring team.
I am not in favor of this proposal. I have made a lengthy comment in the chat area thread, as it is 3am and I am wide awake after working for almost 2 days straight? WTF
