Gents, lots of discussion about this topic, so here’s what we are going to do, starting NOW.
We will:
- Add 15 years for the 2021 season (total of 90 years) starting now. - Allow all managers to have unlimited minor league cuts for the next 2 release periods (before 2021 and 2022 MiLB draft). - We have already allowed all managers to subract a year of service from players in their minors. Each team can choose to subtract a year from whatever players they want. - Return to 75 total minor league years right before the 2022 MiLB draft. This will allow teams to drop as many players as they want / need to manage the 75 year cap.
If Covid impacts the 2021 season, we can revisit this topic at a later date. We can always modify this amendment if Covid impacts next season.
