Free Agents:
To bid on any free agent you PM your bid to the Free Agent account in the members section. Include name, bid amount and years. Only the amount will count. Highest wins the player, ties go to the earliest pm. I applicable, you might need to indicate what player is being dropped if you win the bid.

Bids must be in by 6pm CST on WED & SUN. Bids received after that will be considered for the next period.

If you cut a player, you cannot bid on him in the current 'blind bid' period.

I am adding/copying this piece of info here as it was found under chat/fa UPDATE thread and is part of the rules. This is for all FA's but in particular about when Yu and Cespedes become available. Let there be no doubt as to when each is officially available to bid on and when.

Just a reminder since the question came up over PM.

Any player (including certain Japanese pitchers in Texas) who are not on a Cashman minor league roster and who do not yet have 50ip or 150ab, are not eligible to be picked up. as soon as they hit 50ip or 150ab, you can blind bid on them.

For example, a certain Japanese pitcher starts Saturday evening and after his start has 51ip. He is eligible to be picked up Sunday night! As long as he has his 50ip before the bid deadline (7pm EST).

The exception to the rule is when a player achieves the 50/150 limit on a blind bid day (sunday/wed). In that case, the player is not eligible for signing until the next blind bid period. So in the example above, if the player reached 51ip on Sunday afternoon, you'd have to wait for Wednesday to sign him.
