Veto! I'll even give you a reason!

Buster Posey was a top draft and Ian Kennedy is #34 on top spects list of 2008.
Ludwick has only one year left on his contract and while Soria has 5 he is overpaid.
Not as bad as the other trade, but you can't trade your #1 pick away for Soria

Soria's contract is only a bit over 2 million, not high in my book for 33 saves, under 2 era, under 1 whip in 56 inn with 56 k's.

But the point is that after this year the trade will have been:

I Kennedy, B Posey, AND1st round entry pick 2010

and here are a few points to explain this trade (listen up S.D.)
1) check the standings
2) take a close look at my team and how its put together
3) What do I need to climb into 1st
4) Soria is one of the best closers in the game (MLB)
5) If this was your team what would you do to get to 1st place?
6) yes Posey and Kennedy top prospects (which is why Phi went for it)
7) I need Ludwick NOW! not next year

Sometimes you gotta overpay at this point of the year to go for it. Good trade for both teams.
