I'm tired of trying to decipher who is being bid on, for how much and how teams have room. Some people are good, others are not. So, I'm going to make a FA bidding format for everyone to follow.
1. The subject of the PM should be simple. "FA bids, Detroit"
2. Be specific who you're bidding on. 1. Miguel Cabrera, 1B, Det - 3years / 15M 2. Mike Trout, OF, Ana - 5yrs / 601k - Don't assume I know who you are talking about.
3. How are you bidding on this player / these players? Do you have an open roster spot? Are you cutting someone? Putting someone on waiver wire?
I do not run your team, you do! I'm not your mother. I'm not picking up after you cause you were lazy in writing an understandable bid. If I'm too confused to comprehend your jibberish, your bid will not get processed. If you aren't specific in telling me you have an open roster spot, guess what? No bid gets processed. I don't have the time to chase down 10 teams and figure out 5 of them don't have open roster spots.
If after this PM you still can't figure it out, I think it's time to consider another hobby.
Most everyone is good with this. People are lazy and just give first or last names of players....who to cut or who their bidding on. I don't know who Upton is. There are 55 Zack's in baseball. Everyone can be specific who they want and who they are cutting.
Leaving things open to interpretation is not cool. Please be kind to the guy who donates his time to do this, even if it's not me.
