The next Jim Thome but at DH. Not bad if he can get to that. He has his age going for him at least. Maybe he does make a 100% recovery and is able to catch and do all that good stuff. He wasn't known for his catching prowess though.
He's not really an OF either. If he remains in the NL, the Cubs will have to keep him on the field somehow. I would not be surprised to see him catch again.

He will probably stick with the OF. In college, he played about 40% of his games as a corner OF. He has OF experience, but is just a below average fielder. For you old guys, think Greg Luzinski.

Yeah, it's got to be the first time somebody compared a player's defense to Luzinski and meant it in a positive fashion.
It's a shame that Luzinski and Bob Horner never got to play on the same team. I'm not even sure they are different people. Did anyone ever see them together at the same time?
