So can someone explain my budget then to me so I have it straight? On the surface I had 83 Mil.
Checking the cash tab, I had 30 million coming to me this year.
Was that taken in consideration with my 83 mil opening budget or on top of my 30 million budget? One of the items also is Kershaw was traded to me from Twins before I came on board, and Twinnies paid my team 22 million. Am I reading that correctly? B/c if so, I traded Kershaw and had to pay his salary again. So Im wondering if my cash tab on the spreedsheet needs to be updated or what. I dont know what my cap is is what I am saying.
current player salary...74m cut player salary and carryforward....... 16m $$$ paid to other...... 23m =========================== ..................................113 $$$ received................-30 =========================== .........................83mil

All monies are accounted for in your bottom line. It may be on a different tab, but your salary situation is exactly what it says on the first tab of your team spreadsheet. If you are at 83m then you have 7m left to spend. The commish won't let you execute a transaction that takes you over the line. And we only look at the current season. We don't care about past seasons or future seasons.

Sounds good....another question.
Dylan Bundy shows 1 year left. Is that like next year or the end of this year? I ask b/c I have players on my Milb that show 0 years left. So the 1 yr left implies next year. Sorry for the querstions

I have a follow up question to my 2nd or third question.
So if Bundy with one year left is ending this year not next, how can I retain this guy? I can sign him to a min 5 year contract, and shove his *^#* in that waiver slot? If you guys were me and wanted to keep him how would you? Big time talent here just needs some time to get back in it. Gets a check up August 31st by Dr Jobe Andrews the Arm Killer or whatever the hell his name is.

he will lose the yr and go into MiLB pool unless you sign him to a jor league deal under the special exception where you wont be able to cut or send him down on waivers
The guys that show 0 yrs have made the 50 IP or 150 AB to become major league players. If you haven't signed them yet you will have to decide after the season to sign them or let them walk. If they walk they would be in the pool for free agent auction
minn is correct 1 yr means this year, he runs out of years at the end of this year you either let him walk or invoke the 'heath hembree rule". sign him and he must remain on major lg roster until he reaches 50ip. you can dl him but not waive or cut him

There is a deadline at the end of the year when you make all those kinds of decisions. Stay tuned to the board and you won't miss it.
If Bundy were my player, i would have traded him when his value was over-inflated (so like 2 years ago). That said, if he were STILL my player, I'd sign him to a major league contract at the end of this season (that deadline I spoke about above) then wait to see if he makes the rotation next year. If not, put him in one of my waiver spots.
