The Florida state attorney's office dropped charges against Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig for reckless driving.
He'll still cut a check to cover a speeding ticket for driving his 2013 Mercedes 110 mph in a 70 mph zone in late December. Puig was also charged with reckless driving in April when he played for the Chattanooga Lookouts -- driving 97 mph in a 50 mph zone -- but that case was similarly dismissed. According to reporter Marisa Kendall, Puig's latest charge was dropped because he wasn't "weaving in and out of traffic, he did not lose control of his vehicle, he didn't cause other motorists to brake or make evasive maneuvers, and he was sober and had a valid Florida driver's license." If Puig keeps driving like he swings, he won't have a driver's license for much longer.
So, if your ever caught going over 97mph, make sure your
1) SOBER!! 2) VALID DRIVERS LICENSE 3) DON'T WEAVE IN AND OUT OF TRAFFIC
I also heard he had his mother in the car.
All in redraft leagues, this guy will be the biggest bust of the season.

Phillies is a genius!
Yasiel Puig is currently on a limited throwing program due to right shoulder inflammation. It's an issue Puig dealt with off and on last season and it flared up when he overthrew during the first day of camp. While he considers the move "precautionary," Dodgers manager Don Mattingly wants to get to the bottom of the recurring problem. "We don't think it's serious, but we need to find out," Mattingly said.

Not right away. I figure at least a 20/20 season this year and a little trouble with batting average (.280 range). Then next year, MVP. That's just an estimate though.

Dodgers manager Don Mattingly held a team meeting Tuesday to address Yasiel Puig's behavior.
Puig made two bad baserunning errors in the Dodgers' second of two games in Australia and then left in the bottom of the ninth inning with a phantom back injury -- all of which seemed to infuriate Mattingly (along with some Dodgers players). So Mattingly decided Tuesday to air the grievances, and it seemed to work. "I asked them to please keep helping me," Puig told ESPN.com. "Specifically with baserunning and hitting my cutoff man. I want them to help me with everything they can."
