I wouldnt take it too personal Philly. We aren't afraid to bust each others chops around here (ask ny), but also I think there is a piece of it where we have multiple newer owners here and while fantasy baseball is still fantasy baseball this league is a little unique compared to most. For that reason most trades right now are probably going to get over analyzed and some of the veteran owners will speak up with the intention of helping the newer guys as much as it is just to give someone a hard time.
I wouldnt have traded that for Tork, but at the same time I can go back and find 10 trades from last year that I wish I could have back right now so who am I to say? This league will veto a deal but it has to be extremely bad and this IMO isnt even close to that discussion.
Philly, I meant no harm with my comments. This trade is not over the top of a fair trade. I can see the value on both sides of this trade. My comments were not meant to stop this or create animosity. There are no hard feelings here.
It’s a genuinely true comment from me when I say that it’s great to see you and the other newer owners adapting to this league with active participation. We have a lot of dedicated owners here who have been around for a long time. Participation levels vary by manager. In recent years, we have lost a few long term members to old age and lack of desire to do fantasy baseball. We have also had some mixed results from some members were have had to replace and we are looking for others who fit in here. I believe you are one of those guys who get what this league can be, and what it’s all about. No need to be aggressive. I apologize if my comments were misleading or not welcomed. Opinions are like a$$holes. Everyone has one and they all stink!
Everyone is entitled to run their team the best way they seem fit. There is a lot of trading in this league. There is a lot of back and forth between managers on trading. Most discussions never manifest into actual deals. But, we do have a lot of trading in general. Everyone has a different level of rationalizing a trade. This is not meant to be offensive.

I apologize for being rude to you Tigers and turning this into more than it needed to be. I guess I just felt singled out in this scenario and got a little feisty. Overall I've really enjoyed the league and find it fun! I'm very appreciative to Minny for inviting me.
This is my first Dynasty league, there's going to be growing pains, and I need to remember that and learn from the process.
It's a new day and I'm past it. There's no hard feeling on my end.

Lol. Im new too and feel i started stuff with my activeness lol. Im not sure how the veto process works and do agree that everyone has a right to their opinion and a right to express it but in the end the trade is agreed by both managers. If there’s a vote to Veto, so be it but I usually don’t make a big deal unless the trade is extremely one-sided.
You guys are doing great! Some part of success in this league is trial and error. You will discover certain things work better than others. At the end of the day it all boils down to dumb luck!
Typically we don’t veto trades in this league. Most of our disagreements in this league are handled by majority vote. I’m big on not being a dictator. I believe the members of the league should run the league. Perhaps my role is more of a tie-breaker type of role. But, 99.9% of all trades historically are processed as-is.
Kudos to you both for finding common ground. And, welcome to Cashman’s!

No, we’ve had a long standing rule that if both owners agree than it’s a Deal; exceptions r egregious deals but even then it would be discussed b4 vetoing it!
The only rule that needs to be followed is don't trade with NY!!! Kidding I'm kidding. Run your teams how you see fit but just remember if it seems lopsided be prepared to hear about it. Even if in the long run the trade made sense.
