KC is tough to beat if the competition is just having the best top end guys, especially with EDLC and Chourio leading the way. Gotta factor in depth too though. Teams like LAD, DET, and NY who are nearly maxed out on minor league years have a lot of lottery ticket chances to have the next prospect who shoots up all the prospect rankings, and can move their guys without thinking twice though. If I'm KC i would absolutely move Elly or Chourio to make a run, but it better be a top guy and probably not a 2 month rental.
