Solution in search of a problem.
Longer auction with less dead time vs. shorter auction with more dead time..... that's a preference. League seems fairly split over it. I think from a strategy perspective, a longer auction (2 at a time) is preferable.

I'm not sure what we're really debating here. We used to do three. I guess it was 2 back in 2011. Now it's back to 2. More free time ('Dead time', Pitts?) from shorter auctions vs filling the Cashman year with activities. With draft almost over, I care less about this with every passing minute.
I've made my points to death already. Allow me to murder this dead horse to death.
I offer up a new proposal. Moderator's Choice.
Yanks and Detroit have had the last few drafts. Sorry if I'm missing people, they come to mind, those two love birds.
Anyways, if Detroit were to volunteer and wants it to be 3 at a time, well.....it'll be 3 at a time. If Yanks wants to volunteer, and make it 3 at a time with a clause that it goes to 4 if a draftee(s) is taking a week....well that's the way it'll have to be. If Philly were to volunteer, and wants it to be 2, so be it.
Not every single thing needs to be a vote. If guys volunteer to run/moderate certain things, I believe that should come with certain powers (within reason of course).
Yanks is doing the work in this FAAB, he should tell us how it's going to be. Somebody wants something different, well, you can volunteer next year.
I came to a realization reading this stuff. I really do enjoy doing all of this fantasy stuff, as well as the sheets and admin stuffs. Yeah, I would like to be able to shut this off for a month, but it's really not a big deal either way. I guess I was simply arguing the desire to have no responsibility to any Cashman stuffs for a few weeks in the winter months.
And, am I impatient? Sure. 22nd/23rd hour FAAB bids make me impatient, and kind of #### me off. That impatience is born out of anticipation from potentially winning a bid on a player you want. Sue me, but yeah bids after the 20th hour SABODs.
Speaking of which, why do we discard players from FAAB after 12 hours/w no bids, but goto this 24 hour clock after bids have occurred? Why is it not 12 hours for every single player, whether bids/no bids? If someone says 'to give people time to make bids on a bidded player', I would counter with 'Why did we not give those same Cashmanites enough time on the non-bid players? Should be 12 hours for every single player. Or 24 hours for every single player. But, 11th hour bids on a 12-hour clock would #### me off alot less than 20th+ hour bidding.
Again though, should be moderator's choice.
Anyways, Care-meter almost at zero.
I do understand Philly and Toronto's points, and I don't think they are invalid.
