concerning detroits pick...sano or jean...cant find on ba db. does anyone know if he goes by another name? otherwise detroit must select again.
I know he definately signed with the Twins. Just when he signed he decided to go with his mother's maiden name which is Jean. MLB disputed it and wanted Miguel Jean(Sano) to go with his fathers last name and that's what he eventually did decide to go with a couple weeks ago.
Ya I'm kinda surprised myself. I guess he was picking to fill holes and not the best available players. Looking at Taylor and Heisley, there's no doubt that Taylor is the better prospect.

When I had the #1 pick, I was gonna take Ryan Westmoreland. But Taylor and Perez were the only other guys in the conversation for me. Of course, I have no idea what I'm doing so take from that what you will.

I agree, I was torn about Taylor, but once he was traded to Oakland that got him out of the log Jam in Philly (Victorino, Werth, Ibanez, Brown, etc), and now he may play right away.
Perez has a lot of upside and is actually possibly further along in his career at his age then Neftali was, but you never know what will happen with those young guys.
I was hoping Perez would be available and one of the reasons I made the trade with Chicago last night for Neftali.
